LORENZO PICCOLI 

I am a comparative political scientist with an interdisciplinary background. I am interested in how political systems respond to social change.​

My research is about the rights of people who move across international borders, with particular attention to developments in Western and Southern Europe. Through this research, I look at how policies are agreed upon, applied, and experienced in everyday life.

I work at the Migration Policy Centre and the School of Transnational Governance

at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy.
